RAW Report 3-8-10

Undertaker/HBK promo

This week's RAW opened with yet another in a series of WM promos for the HBK/Undertaker match where Shawn Micheals puts his career on the line vs the Undertaker's undefeated streak. I said it before and I will say it again, these two know how to do promos. Now making the match a no dq no countout match is indeed one way to improve on last year's match. I must say it was a great way to start RAW for the night.

score 5 out of 5

Gail Kim, Eve Torres, & Kelly Kelly vs Maryse, Alicia Fox, & Katie Lea Burchill

I will still say it, Maryse is a horrible diva's wrestler. The only reason they gave her the title is because of her look which is wrong. She has no in ring talent whatsoever. Eve Torres seems to be improving her in ring ability every time I see her. From the way this match turned out I would say they are building towards a Maryse/Eve Torres diva's title match at Wrestlemania.

score 3.5 out of 5

Chis Angel in the back

Criss was in the back talking with Hornswaggle when the Bella twins came up and asked to be his assistants for his demonstration. Criss turned them down but he did do something for them. He took a string off of one of them put it in his mouth and pulled it through his eyeball. WHAT????

score 5 out of 5

Showmiz vs R-Truth & John Morrison

Truth & Morrison earned the right to face Showmiz for the tag team titles at WM so tonight was a little preview of what to expect for that match. I will say this, the name "Truth & Wisdom" was thrown out there as a possible name for the team and I like it. I think that would be a great name for them. Miz came out at the beginning and cut a promo about how there are no more great teams left in the WWE that could challenge Showmiz. So Truth and Morrison went out there and proved him wrong. If what those four did out there was awesome, I can't wait for their match at Wrestlemania.

score 4 out of 5

John Cena promo

John Cena cut a quick promo about what happened with him and Batista last week and his match against Mr. McMahon later on in the night. Short and straight to the point. No hilarity? No witty comments? I don't know about that.

Score 3.5 out of 5

Criss Angel pt 2

The second installment of Angel wowing the crowd. He read Regal's mind in a mind reading demonstration and Skip Sheffield blurted out that Regal owed him a Travis Tritt cd was which was hilarious.

score 4.5 out of 5

Legacy vs Randy Orton

Now this was a match I thought was going to take place at Wrestlemania. They should have waited until then to have this match because this was actually a great match to watch. All three men were on the ball and even better. If they are still having a match at Wrestlemania, I can't wait to see what they'll do cause tonight's match was great.

score 5 out of 5

HHH/Sheamus confrontation

What a great segment this was. It started out with Sheamus interrupting the Game talking about last week. HHH then cut a great part about Wrestlemania and the short list of people who beat him and the long list of people he beat. It then evloved into a fight between the two that ended with HHH giving Sheamus a spinebuster and him rolling out of the ring. This was a fantastic segment and a great build towards their match at Wrestlemania.

score 5 out of 5

Criss Angel pt 3

Yet another amazing demonstration from Criss. I was glad it was done with Santino. He added a bit of comedy to it with him talking about Ralph Machio and Harry Houdini.

score 5 out of 5

Evan Bourne vs William Regal

The final Money in the Bank qualifier saw Evan Bourne defeating Regal with the Air Bourne. I must say nobody has done the Shooting Star Press better than Evan Bourne. Now he is in the Money In the Bank ladder match where he can really showcase his high flying skills. This year's Wrestlemania is really shaping up to be a great one.

score 4 out of 5

Mr. McMahon vs John Cena

Now earlier in the night Batista gave his word as champion that he would not get involved in this match which we all knew was bull. McMahon changed this match into a gauntlet match which was kinda predictable considering McMahon can't wrestle worth a crap anymore. In all it was a great build not only towards the Batista/Cena match at Wrestlemania but also the Bret Hart/Vince McMahon as well.

score 5 out of 5

Stream update

Posted by aawbwi at 04:11 PM on March 03, 2010 Comments comments (0)

Okay here's a little update involving the Wrestlegamer Show.  I have decided to make another stream and have two streams, one for wrestling and one for video games.  I have embedded the new game stream on the site here so people won't have trouble viewing it.  I will embed the chat but in a different content box.  The first time I tried to embed the live stream and chatroom on the home page for some reason it keep flipping the stream and the chat over and over again.  So when this entry is posted the chat will be up on the home page but in a different content box.  It will be the content box right underneath the game stream.

Site Update

Good news.  I now have the domain www.thewrestlegamershow.com for the next year.  I had to sign up for gamefly to get it free for the next year but it was worth it.  Also I can use it to rent video games and do reviews for them on the show.  Not only though that but if I really like the game I might consider buying it for myself.  That is one of my main rules to video games.  Always rent the video game or get a demo of it.  That way you know if the game is good or not.  I will be mainly using the gamefly service to rent games and write reviews for the show.  I hope by doing this it will help make Video Game Monday on the show better.

I caught NXT last night.  I must say it wasn't like I thought it was going to be.  I thought it would be more like a reality show.  I don't know if I agree with the format they're doing for it.  But then again what better way to test the rookies then to literally put them in there with the pros?  I have the NXT rankings for the week up so check it out when you can.

I don't know when I will be able to officially change the site address from www.aawbwi.com to www.thewrestlegamershow.com but it will be coming very soon.

One last thing, Slammin Fridays has been moved from 7 pm central time to 9 pm central time.  This way I can include SMACKDOWN in the show.

Site changes and blog usage

Posted by aawbwi at 02:31 PM on February 23, 2010 Comments comments (0)

For the longest time I have left this blog unattended due mainly to the fact that I had to use my brother's computer and my time on it was very limited.  However just recently I purchased my own laptop computer with wifi access which just really cool.  During the time before I got this very laptop that I'm on I used an app on my iphone called tumblr to do all my blogging.  I will still blog on there and do the same on here.

Now on to the site changes.  I have decided to retire Billy's Wrestling Insite and I have been redoing the site for my webshow/podcast, The Wrestlegamer Show.  It may take a while before I finish with all the changes to the site but in the end it will look totally awesome.  People can also watch the show live here instead of going to my ustream.  And I have the chatroom for the show on there so they can chat too.  I have the gcast widget on there so people can download it or embed it on their site or myspace page.  The show has also been submitted to ITunes and Zune too.  I have not received the confirmation emails yet but when I get them I will blog it on here and my other blog.  In a sense my two blogs will be mirror images of each other.  Anything I blog on one will be on the other as well.  Well that's it for now.  Here's to a new future for this website.  One last thing.  Come Friday I will be changing the site address from www.aawbwi.com to www.thewrestlegamershow.com.  As I stated on the home page please don't click on the links.  Kinda silly to do so don't you think?

I also would like to encourage my members to blog on here as well.  Anything wrestling or video game related would be welcomed.  You can blog about other stuff too.  I don't mind that at all.  It is your entry after all.

RAW Insite for 9-28-09

Al Sharpton was the guest host for RAW last night and he was not well received by the WWE Universe.  That's an understatement.  He was greeted by a round of boos.  The man was trying to talk about education reform and he was being booed out of a wrestling ring.  Go figure on that one.  He made a huge move right off the bat.  Jericho tried sucking up to Sharpton but it didn't work.  He made Jericho and Big Show defend the unified tag team titles against MVP and Mark Henry.  They protested but to no avail.  It didn't matter anyway as Jericho and Big Show retained their titles last night after Jericho hit the codebreaker on MVP and got the pin.  They now have Batista and Rey Mysterio to look forward to at Hell in a Cell.

As I stated on my twitter page, I don't know who I hate more, The Fiz or Jack Ogre.  For some reason these two morons are in a triple threat match with Kofi Kingston with the United States title on the line.  Kofi has overcome every obstacle put before him.  I just hope he can do it again.  I can't imagine what will happen if either of those two morons win the title.

Due to his loss last week, of which I knew was coming, John Cena had to run the gauntlet against Jericho, Big Show, and Randy Orton.  Jericho was up first and I guess their plan wasn't to win the match but to cripple Cena so he would be easy pickings for the viper come Hell In A Cell.  Same thing happened with the Big Show.  By the time Orton came down, the Hell In A Cell was lowering.  Orton turned around and saw the WWE Champion on his feet and the brawl was on.  Orton tried to escape but to no avail.  Orton did fight his way out with Cena on his trail.  The viper thought he could get away by climbing up the cell.  WRONG!  Cena pursued him up the cell and they continued the fight up there.  It was all over when Cena caught Orton in the Attitude Adjustment on top of the cell.  What will happen when these two collide for the WWE title?

For my RAW Stars of the Week, I give it to DX for shutting up the Legacy girls.

For my RAW Losers of the Week,  I give it to the Legacy girls for turning tail and running away from DX.

ECW Insite for 9-22-09

For the very first time I was rooting for Scheamus to do something.  I was actually rooting for him to sock that smurfing fool, Abraham Washington, right in the mouth.  And why did Tony Atlas have to come back with that annoying laugh?  The real funny stuff came when Shelton Benjamin came out and revealed Scheamus's family tree.  It turns out he is related to Ronald McDonald and Carrot Top!  LOL!  Scheamus didn't think it was funny as he attacked the Gold Standard from behind.  I thought the joke was real funny.  Scheamus should get a sense of humor.

In my opinion, the newest star on the rise is Yoshi Tatsu.  This guy captivates the crowd and is very talented in the ring.  He has these buzzsaw like kicks that remind me so much of Yoshiro Tajiri.  It makes me wonder if he trained him or not.  And the wins for this newcomer keep piling up.  Take last night for instance, he defeated Paul Burchill.  Last week it was Zack Ryder but I think pretty much anyone in ECW can beat this loser.

Speaking of losers, thank goodness WWE had enough common sense to not put the ECW title around the waist of someone with absolutely no talent like Zack Ryder.  I will admit at some points during his match with Christian he did okay.  But I think Ryder has alot more work to do before he can reach the level that Christian is on right now.

For my ECW Star of the Week, I give it to Yoshi Tatsu.  I think they need to bring the cruiserweight division back to the WWE and let Tatsu have a run as champion.  They could very far with that.

For my ECW Loser of the Week, I give it to Abraham Washington simply because he is a smurfing idiot!

The Legacy girls tried to take HHH out last night by breaking his neck around a chair.  Thank goodness HBK was able to get the sledgehammer and force the Legacy girls away from the Game.  The Legacy girls will soon face hell when they are locked inside the cell with DX.  I have two words for the Legacy girls, LIFE INSURANCE!

Cedric the Entertainer was the guest host for RAW last night.  Everyone was having a good time until Chavo decided to come out and be a buzzkill.  He challenged Cedric to a match which was accepted by Santino on Cedric's behalf.

Last night was Lillian Garcia's last night as the RAW ring announcer.  She had a grace and beauty that will be missed by one and all!

The main event last night was John Cena, MVP, and Mark Henry vs Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, and the Big Show with the stipulaton being if Cena's team won then Orton would have to face Cena's team in a gauntlet match next week.  If Orton's team won then it would be Cena facing Orton's team in a gauntlet match.  Let's be honest.  Can you say predictable?  I didn't even watch this one cause I knew what was going to happen.  I knew Cena's team was going to lose and Cena would be in the gauntlet match next week.  I hate it when the show gets predictable.  It makes the show boring.

For my RAW Star of the Week, I give it to Cedric the Entertainer for sticking to Chavo with the old switcheroo.  Chavo never had a chance against the CEDHAMMER!

For my RAW Losers of the Week, I give it to the Legacy girls for trying to take the Game out of wrestling for good.

TNA Impact Insite for 9-17-09

The semi finals of the Knockouts tag team title tournament took place last night.  The first semi final match was Tara and Christy Hemme vs the Beautifully Stupid People.  I was really pulling for Tara and Christy to win this one so I can see them tag again.  For some reason Madison Rayne came out and sprayed Christy with hairspray right in the face and right in front of the referee she boinked a couple of ppvs ago.  The Beautifully Stupid People won the match and accepted Madison Rayne back into the fold.

Rhino has some serious issues he needs to work out with a therapist.  If he can't handle the pressure of being a TNA superstar he needs to retire or look to other promotions for work.  Brother Devon tried to put him in his place and got beatdown for his trouble.  Brother Ray took offense to that and proceeded to beatdown Rhino.  If it wasn't for security stepping in, who knows what those two would have done to each other.  Rhino better quickly forget about Brother Ray and switch his focus on Bobby Lashley.  Lashley has a score to settle with him for that beating in the gym last week.

The second of the semi final matches pitted Sarita and Taylor Wilde vs Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed.  Kong as usual was dominant.  But she made a fatal mistake turning her attention towards Sarita on the outside of the ring.  Taylor came up behind Saeed and scored a huge German suplex, getting the win for her team.  Kong went insane and tried to attack them but she was too slow.  So in the finals at the next ppv, it will be The Beautifully Stupid People vs Sarita and Taylor Wilde.

The main event was huge last night as Matt Morgan took on Samoa Joe.  The matchup was pretty even until Kurt Angle decided to interfere and sparked a huge brawl between them.  Security could barely do anything to keep them separated.  Angle kicked Morgan south of the border and Angle Slammed him through a table.  I wonder if this is a sign of what to expect at the ppv.

ECW Insite for 9-15-09

The show started out nice last night with General Manager Tiffany coming out.  I prefer to call her an extreme beauty.  Regal came out with his roundtable of fools, Jackson and Kozlov, and tried to intimidate Tiffany into giving him another rematch for the ECW title.  Regal has had two chances at the title and he lost both times to Christian.   Tiffany instantly booked Regal in a match against the Hurricane.  Hurricane dominated him for the most part but Regal got in one knee shot to the head and knocked him out.  Regal needs to learn that he needs to work his way back up the ladder if he wants another shot at the title.

Goldust teaching Yoshi Tatsu english, that's funny.  However the woo woo woo fool, Zack Ryder, tried to crash the party and asked Yoshi to say the word loser and he did.  He said Zack Ryder.  The idiot then got angry and challenged him to a match.  Two good things about the match.  One, the Bella twins were the ring announcers. Whenever they are out in the ring, we are all winners in my opinion.  The second good thing about the match, Yoshi put Ryder in his place and knocked him out with a lethal kick.  The woo woo woo fool better learn to keep his mouth shut and his ego in check.

A big battle royal took place to determine the new number one contender.  Out of all that, Zack Ryder won and became the number one contender.  Allow me to elaborate on this subject.  What in the world is the WWE thinking making the woo woo woo idiot the number one contender for the ECW title?  There are more qualified contenders who are more talented than Ryder who should have got it.  Regal, Hurricane, Shelton Benjamin, Goldust, Kozlov, Jackson, Tommy Dreamer, and even Paul Burchill.  Why in the freaking world did they decide to go with an idiot who prances around and says woo woo woo likes it cool?  This is like the WWE is giving ECW a big middle finger.  Ryder is not in Christian's league.  I would like to know WWE's reasoning behind their choice of Ryder being the number one contender.  WWE is throwing this brand down the toilet and they don't care.
